Essential questions for financiers
- Do you have an ERP system or not?
- Are the number of your invoices more or less than 200?
- Do you deal with companies or not?
As Egypt transitions towards a digital economy, implementing electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) systems has become crucial.
Everyone who has a tax registration number is required to register in the electronic invoice (e-invoice) system. If he has a One-person company (OPC), he can register by coming to the Egyptian Tax Authority ETA, but for all other types of companies, whether they are joint-stock companies, limited liability companies, etc., they need to perform a self-registration electronically in the ETA system, by following the necessary steps for that and then they will need to integrate with ETA for sending it their electronic invoices, where our ERP Pulsar system, could be the ideal solution as it offers them the ability to integrate with ETA and send their electronic invoices with just one click.
Financiers must also be equipped with answers to the questions that will be asked to them by the relevant department employees when requesting to join the system.
Here are some of the key questions they will be asked:
Do you have an ERP system or not?
The ERP system is an internal program for automating company’s data, through which you can accomplish your work, whether it is an accounting program, an invoicing program, or any program related to organizing your company’s data.
If the answer is yes, here you can do direct integration with the electronic invoice (e-invoice) system through our Pulsar ERP system, but after performing the following connection steps in the Pulsar ERP system:
• Fill in the information about your organization.
• Prepare to send the electronic invoices (e-invoices).
• Set up electronic receipts (e-receipts) submission (this is only
required for people who are required to submit electronic receipts to ETA; others can skip this step)
• Then send the electronic invoice to the Egyptian tax system (ETA).
To send electronic invoices (e-invoices) and electronic receipts from our Pulsar software to the Egyptian tax system (ETA), register sales through the web interface Or using the cashier software CashReg to work on the computer.
If the answer is no, you will be asked the following question:
Are the number of your invoices more or less than 200?
- If the answer is less than 200 invoices, an account will be opened for you on the ETA portal.
- If the answer is more than 200 invoices, your account will be opened on the portal for only 6 months so that you can create an ERP system and then integrate with the electronic invoice (e-invoice) system.
Do you deal with companies or not?
- If you deal with companies such as: an accountant who issues invoices to companies or a doctor who issues invoices to hospitals or health associations, here you must join the electronic invoice (e-invoice) system to issue an electronic invoice. And now, all companies, according to the decision of the head of the Egyptian Tax Authority No. (323) of 2022, have become obligated to join the electronic invoice system. You can inquire about the declarations to oblige your company to issue the electronic invoice through the following link: https://www.eta.gov.eg/ar/einvoice-inquiry
- However, if you are dealing with a final consumer not a company, here you must also join the system, but you are not obligated to issue electronic invoices (e-invoice) , but rather an electronic receipt, and thus the request turns into joining the electronic receipt system (e-receipt). You can inquire about the declarations to oblige your company to issue the electronic receipt through this link: https://www.eta.gov.eg/ar/ereceipt-inquiry.
- If you have part of the sales or purchases to a company or from it and part to a final consumer, here you join the electronic invoice (e-invoice) system and issue an electronic invoice (e-invoice) to companies, and you also join the electronic receipt (e-receipt) system so that you can issue the electronic receipt to the consumer.
